As the most popular olive variety in Greece — used exclusively for oil production — Koroneiki is prized for its exceptional taste and remarkable resilience. Believed to originate from the Koroni region of Messinia in the Peloponnese (from which it gets its name), this variety thrives in the rocky, sun-drenched landscapes of southern Greece and Crete. It is the least demanding in terms of temperature, moisture, and soil, showing high resistance to dry heat conditions while producing oil of outstanding quality.

Koroneiki is an early ripening variety, with harvest beginning in early October. While adaptable, it does require appropriate care in cold winters to ensure a satisfactory flowering period—a testament to the dedication behind every bottle.
